Times have changed, and so has our company name—from Kazoo to WorkTango. With our recent acquisition and expansion to a holistic Employee Experience Platform, Kazoo is now known as WorkTango. You’ll read and hear customers referring to us as Kazoo in materials released prior to the change, but rest assured we still offer the same quality products and services, just with a new name.

Challenge

LogicMonitor, a leader in the IT infrastructure market, had large company growth goals in front of them and knew that keeping employees engaged would help them get to the next level. The company was determined not to lose what they worked to build and started their search for a recognition program. LogicMonitor wanted a turnkey solution to incorporate their quarterly All Star Awards program so it could continue to grow with the company.

Solution

As one of the only Recognition & Rewards solutions to offer a built-in Nominations & Awards feature, LogicMonitor knew Kazoo [now WorkTango] would be the best fit for their business. With 75% of their employees actively engaged with Kazoo [now WorkTango], having their All Star program in the same place made it more accessible. In addition, the company increased its nominations by 30% year over year.

Details

Companies are always looking for ways to retain their top talent and LogicMonitor is no exception. Founded in 2007, the Austin-based SaaS company has rapidly grown to become a leader in the IT infrastructure market. Their success comes in part from the focus on their internal culture and the great employee experience they’ve built over the years.

In 2018, LogicMonitor was acquired by Vista Equity Partners. With large growth goals in front of them, the company knew that keeping employees engaged while building on their well-established culture would help them get to the next level. The company was determined not to lose what they worked so hard to build and started their search for a recognition program.

As part of their search, LogicMonitor also wanted a solution that could integrate with their service awards program. The company’s All Star Awards, which started in 2014, are a cornerstone of their culture to highlight top performing employees. LogicMonitor was looking for a more turnkey solution for their quarterly awards program so it could continue to grow with the company.

As one of the only Recognition & Rewards platforms on the market to offer a built-in Nominations & Awards feature, LogicMonitor knew Kazoo [now WorkTango] would be the best fit for their business. Over the two years that LogicMonitor has utilized Kazoo [now WorkTango’s] Recognition & Rewards platform, the company has seen their employee base more than double in size from 250 employees to over 550 across eight offices. As part of their growth, LogicMonitor has added more employees to the platform and uses Kazoo [now WorkTango’s] integration with Namely to easily pull employee data from one system to the other.

“The Kazoo [now WorkTango] platform is incredibly user friendly from both the individual user and admin point of view. From creating behavior bonuses to running analytics to receiving or sending points and redeeming rewards for the user, the platform is useful, intuitive, and rewarding,” said Gillian Calley, Learning & Development Business Partner at LogicMonitor.

In addition, the company’s All Star Awards program got a big boost when LogicMonitor moved it to the Kazoo [now WorkTango] platform. With 75% of their employees already actively engaged with Kazoo [now WorkTango], having their All Star program in the same place made it more accessible. In fact, the company increased its nominations by 30% year over year.

LogicMonitor is also an active user of Kazoo [now WorkTango’s] Behavior Bonus feature. As the company has had to transition to working remotely during the coronavirus pandemic, they’ve added custom bonuses into the platform for COVID-19 related activities such as at home workouts, supporting neighbors and helping those in need, and completion of LinkedIn Learning courses as ways to keep employees engaged. Over a three month period, “LMers” have redeemed 1,933 Behavior Bonuses for actions related to coronavirus restrictions.

“During this remote working time, where many employees may feel detached and are physically separated from one another, using Kazoo [now WorkTango] for recognition allows us to feel connected and seen by our fellow LMers,” notes Gillian. “At LM we want our employees to feel appreciated. Kazoo [now WorkTango] provides a platform for employees to feel seen, while also empowering them to show gratitude and acknowledge others.”

By using Kazoo [now WorkTango] for their Recognition & Rewards program, LogicMonitor has been able to add to their employee experience while maintaining their culture as the company continues to scale.
