Join us in extending a warm welcome to our new Vice President of Customer Success, Laura R., who has been with the company for just one month, but has already made a huge impact. With an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction and a wealth of experience in the HR tech industry, Laura is already helping WorkTango’s customer success team double down on what matters most to our customers.
In this WorkTango Employee Spotlight, we’ll learn all about Laura and her vision for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
What has it been like to work at WorkTango so far?
WorkTango provides an upbeat, positive environment focused on success and growth. The team is supportive and collaborative, which makes coming to work every day enjoyable!
What do you want people to know about you?
Our family recently adopted two puppies, bringing our rescue animal pack to a total of seven (4 cats and 3 dogs). Having an animal (or 7) around makes a place feel like home to me – unless it’s a snake. In that case, I will run far away.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Notice your emotions.
Simply notice first. Then, approach those emotions with curiosity in order to make intentional choices about how to show up in a situation.
What made you choose to join the WorkTango team?
I care deeply about creating sustainable work environments where people are content, connected, and present.
WorkTango’s leadership team embodies these qualities and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn and grow under their guidance. Also, our solution helps other organizations develop cultures in which people love showing up for work and giving their all every day – and that is something I am passionate about.
What are you currently enjoying most about your role here at WorkTango or what are you most excited to do?
I am buzzing with excitement to collaborate with our customers and leadership team to more clearly articulate WorkTango’s customer experience vision. I plan on incorporating many of Bret Starr’s (CEO of the Starr Experience and WorkTango board member) best practices, given his deep industry expertise and familiarity with so many of our customers.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
Trees. I am a card carrying member of the Arbor Day Foundation and can’t imagine living in a place where I am not surrounded by trees. 🌲
Who is the most influential person/people for you and why?
I am blessed to have several wise, funny, flawed, and loving people in my personal circle.
My incredible partner, Kevin, and my daughters, Oliva and Julia, are my life’s most valuable teachers. My 80+ year old parents, Helen and John, continue to influence how I move through the world by demonstrating what it means to age well.
Yoga teachers Michel, Laura, and Meredith contribute to total wellbeing, and thoughtful authentic podcasters like Glennon Doyle, Stephen Dubner, and the guys from Smartless help me love, think, and laugh daily.
Over the years, WorkTango has been privileged to work with numerous organizations, and our dedication to their success has always been at the forefront of our operations.
