Twice a year, WorkTango closes our offices so our employees can enjoy a company-wide vacation. This winter, WorkTango will be closed from December 25th 2024 through January 1, 2025. However, Customer Support will still be available on December 30th and 31st 2024 to assist with end of year activities.
While unlimited vacation is a valuable benefit to offer employees, it’s not always perfect. Studies reveal that unlimited PTO (paid time off) policies often leave employees unsure about how much time to take off is "acceptable," leading them to take less time off than an accrued or banked time off policy. To counter this, WorkTango builds in additional company-wide Summer and Winter Breaks, which encourages our team to relax, recharge, and return ready to drive success for our customers.
3 reasons why companies should consider implementing a company-wide vacation
1. For employee mental health.
Mental wellbeing is essential to a thriving workplace, but for many employees, fully disconnecting from work can be challenging. Company-wide breaks give employees designated time to nurture their work-life harmony, helping them achieve balance and prioritize their mental health.
2. So employees can take a break, guilt-free.
Despite WorkTango’s unlimited vacation policy, we know some employees may still be reluctant to take vacation days for a variety of reasons. That’s why we set aside time to fully close our doors and log off—creating space for everyone to rest, recharge, and return refreshed.
3. Because customers benefit.
There is a direct link between employee experience and customer satisfaction. When we invest in our team’s wellbeing, we’re also investing in the quality of service we deliver. We believe that by prioritizing our team’s rest and wellbeing, we’re supporting their ability to create exceptional customer experiences.
If you receive an out-of-office notification from a WorkTango team member between December 25th and January 1st, know that we’re recharging on our end in order to be able to better serve you upon our return. With this being said, we remain committed to meeting any essential customer needs during this period.
While our intent is for every single employee to enjoy time off together, we understand our customer’s business needs don’t pause completely. To accommodate, we’ll have some team members working through Winter Break who will take time off during a different week. Please note our Customer Support Team will be out of office from December 25-27th, but will be available on December 30 and 31st. They will be out of office on New Year’s Day (January 1st), but will be available January 2nd and 3rd 2025.
