HR’s Role in Enabling Leaders to Lead Remotely (Specifically, in This Time of Crisis)

Despite the fact that there’s been a 44% increase in remote work in the last 5 years, the reality is that most companies and leaders are not equipped to navigate the rapidly changing circumstances they are facing today. Leaders are forced to create new rules and adapt to the norms of how things work in the office with little to no guidance. HR professionals are in a unique position to enable these (often newly remote themselves) leaders to lead their teams in a more effective way during these difficult times. Céline Williams, an international speaker and executive coach, has worked with remote teams for over 15 years and will share her tips on how HR can help leaders navigate these uncharted waters.

Attendees will learn:

  • The key mistakes leaders make when transitioning to working with a remote team and how to spot them
  • The conversations leaders need to be having in order to enable their teams to be as productive as possible (and how HR can help them have those conversations)
  • How and where leaders may need the most support, even if they’re not asking for it
  • Insights into how leaders can maintain and even build rapport and culture with their remote workers
